Aihara Co .Ltd〜株式会社相原

Connecting Made in Japan to the World

Established in 1877, Aihara Koujiya has
a 147-year history.It is now in its 20th generation.
However, the Great East Japan Earthquake of 2011 destroyed the
brewery and other facilities, and the company was in danger of
extinction due to a shortage of workers unique to rural areas.
At that time, two young individuals happened to taste Aihara Kojiya’ s
miso and soy sauce. Feeling it would be a shame
to lose such products, they were driven by a
desire to ensure its survival, pass down its
legacy, and help it recover from the earthquake.
Not only focusing on Japan but also looking
globally, they want to revive Japanese culture
hidden in rural areas and bring vibrancy to the
local communities, Japan, and the world.
